Just wondering how much people are really workin on these trucks?

i mean if you have like a whole room devoted to then then how much time and effort do you put into these trucks?

are you broken

5% or less?

25 - 50%?

50 - 75%?

75 - You are never able to race...!

I say i'm down 7% because of broken parts because I have many spairs and usually fix right away. However, I spend numerous hours in my MAN ROOM working on these things, looking them over, charging them, adding mods, Tweaking them, cleaning them, coming up with new mods, etc.

I said less than 5% because I don't like my truck to be broken and I fix it the same day. I have tons of spares because I race so I'm hardly ever without it for more than a couple hours.

Well... I still beat my savage...but I swear every time I run it it breaks!

Yes, I beat the tar out of mine as well and they usually come home not running. I usually bring several trucks to a bash session, this way I get pleanty of run time. This is the reason more than one truck is nice, having 2 of the same makes this even better because you can stock up on parts and not worrie about it as they will fit on either truck.

i just ordered a used and abused savvy x off of ebay with a blown motor(have another) ill fix it up real nice and RACE THE **** OUT OF HER!!

its perfect other than the blown motor.....idiot said he ran it with no0 smoke because he thought it was "abnormal".....idiot

Well I also have two savages. One to run on the track and one just to beat the bag out of. Id say I don't break as much as I mod. I spend on average 6 hours a week tinkering with them. Making lil changes and testing it over and over. As well as making my own parts and making others parts better. For the recored I have NEVER stripped a spur gear or bell and only broken a few dog bones I think 3 now and two a arms. On these two trucks N e way . The arms were pure abuse 1 a building jumped in front of my wheel and the other one I did at a skate park. However I have broken tons of rims!!!
I did rip up 1 diff when I failed to let go of the throttle coming off a jump. But thats it for things I had to fix. The rest is all for fun and the lack of a social life.....:duh:

to be perfectly honest i haven't had to fix much but got a bit carried away with the hopups at first but know I'm just experimenting with tires!! so i voted 5 or less!!

when i first started racing i ripped spur gears left and right! i usually had to put 3 or four in a race!!!!! (i held the throttle on jumps CHHHHERRRRRET!!!)
so i stopped that now and i have a steel spur gear!🙂

ya thats why i don't have to repair mine all that often, i don't launch it alot!! i have more fun shooting rooster tails through the sand with the paddle tires lol.. since throwing the xtm motor in it will shoot a 10 foot rooster tail of sand at ya lol

man all my lrp does is spin! its scary how something so small can have so much power

i agree!! the first time i snapped the throttle i didnt think i would get it stopped in time, lol it surprised the heck out of me how much power they have!!!

i know man LRP FOR LIFE!!!!!! ive had axial and nitro star( i know that not the half of them) but i found my engine for me!

broke? my savvy is too much of a BAMF to break

well, i bounced off 5 curbs, 3 telephone poles, a car, tree, fence, truck, storm drain, hmmmm park bench, slide, warhead evo, john deere 50 series....the list goes on and on. the only thing that i have broken is a c-hub, 2 standard dog bones, one hpi hd dog bone, and twisted (but still running it) a flm dogbone.

if you wanna have fun in the sand, throw paddles on the rear and nubz or a hugh rub style tire, and unhook the front wheel drive. its pretty sweet.

umm wow...... i the only thing i have hit is a tree and gone under the tire of a jeep breaking the shock tower on my first nitro A DURATRAX UGGGH!!!! WHAT CRAP THAT WAS!! it broke going like 10mph(only had one speed)

I said 25-50% b/c I took an average of when I first got mine till now. I used to break it every time I took it out. Usually 5 minutes or less and I was done. And let me tell you, my wife let me know what a wise choice I made in buying my savage used :stickspank: But now that I have most of the bugs worked out and weak links replaced and upgrades installed I usually run out of fuel more than I break parts. I can now finally hand the TX over to her and not worry about it breaking from a run across the yard.

my wife wont even go near mine lol "not interested at all"

EVERY person i know is like that and its soo annoying! "hey man look at this new upgrade!" "nah lets go play a video game and be lazy all day" GOD I HATE THAT!
not one person i know is interested in these trucks!(friends and family) excludes my little club i formed

my dad likes to drive it. but i have a 50$ security deposit cus he usually breaks something then hands the tx back and says "here ya go".

my roommate in ohio at least pretends to be interested in the hop-ups, but he thinks its pretty cool when it runs.

i guess my best friend is like that......he is like yea cool ok......can we do something else now? only thing is that really me off was when he cheered when my 4.1 blew a head gasket......i still hate him for that!
