I was wondering if someone knew what this was.



It seems it had came loose and fell out I'm hoping I don't have to buy a whole new steering system just to get that one piece probably will th

Looks like a brass bushing, part of the steering rack, look in your manual under steering pivot.. part number z282 in my X manual is a step bolt attaching rack to link bar 3mmx14mm step screw

Yep, that's the purpose of them. They wear instead of the linkage bar.

What are the ID/OD dimensions? Might be able to find a comparable king pin bushing that would work.

That redcat bushing is for a 3mm screw.

Well it is 3mm on the inside that was easy to check with a 3mm screw...lol. outside is is difficult I don't have a caliper to meaure the utside diameter. Thank you for the information.

Harbor Freight Tools sells a decent caliper for about 20 bux and it is well worth the investment
