What is mid tank lean?!

Hi everyone! Just got my savage going again after years of it sitting there and finding it a big learning curve, love it none the less... However what on Earth is mid tank lean??? What are the symptoms and how do you cure it? If it is what I think it is it could explain a thing or two ... Cheers guys

a bit of reading for you, basically half tank of fuel can cause the engine to go lean and run hot or erratically, many people have found solutions to fix it somewhat, best fix I can say is to tune at half tank to avoid the syndrome and when it is full it will run richer thus avoiding possible engine damage....
