What hop ups should i buy for my savage 25 it is completely stock except for a RD Logics Rear Exhaust, GPM Centre Skid plate And shock covers but i mainly do offroad bashing so what are good performance upgrades such as gearing and anything else.

But in a few months i am getting an X SS so what hop ups are good for the XSS i was looking for some Threaded shocks but do not know which ones are good so i do not flip it.

P.S. The first thing i bought was a fail safe so got that and my controller is a spektrum DX 3.0 i was thinking about the Spektrum telemetry kit is it any Good ? ? ?

Thanks Again

I would get a different pipe like Tsais M25, THS, Buku, JP's. Id say first things to buy is a hump pack, upgraded steering servo, In the 25 id put the aluminum diff hub and 4 spider gear diff in it,The xss will have a fine pipe, HPI Wheelie bars, Aluminum clutch shoes with vented clutches. This will give you a good start. At some point the OFNA throttle/brake linkage kit would be nice and some sort of Mid-tank mod.

You are also fine to do flips with the stock shocks they are one of the toughest shocks you will find and hold up very well.

Another good one to do to both is to replace the plastic bushings in the steering with bearings I believe they are a 6X10X3mm Bearing. You should also upgrade your 25 to the X style steering servo saver instead of the 25 style. The 3 speed trans is also a great hop up, it increases low end and high end all whall deviding the power band 3 times instead of 2 it also sounds real cool when it shifts 3 times. Another is to switch to the dual red fiber disk brakes that the X4.6 has. I know know just a few more.

a great ebay store to deal with is called nitronutzz!! robs a great guy and has a fair bit of stuff for the savage. I'm in canada so i also use great hobbies.com alot! (they have online shopping as well) and they have thousands of parts for all brands of rc!! another one i've used is neweramodels.com hope these help a bit!!

I would personally recommend upgrading things when you break them but heres some of the parts listed.

Here is the 4 spider gear diff. Since you have a 25 you have plastic diff cups so this option is the best bang for your buck. You get the 4 spider gear setup, aluminum diff cup, new bearings, and heavy duty diff outdrives.

HPI Savage Assembled Diff w/Aluminum Cup

Best clutch shoes out there, period. If anyone tries to convince you otherwise just stare at them and walk away slowly. lol

Aluminum Clutch Shoes

Wheelie Bar

You won't use all the parts in both kits but buying both makes it easier to make you own linkage.
OFNA Linkage Kit, Blue
OFNA Linkage Kit, Blue

As of now I would recommend just getting a hump pack with a generic charger. The hump will give you like 40% more power to your servos making them much stronger.

OFNA 1600 mAh

I'm not just using links from SlapMaFro because they are one of our affiliates. They have amazing customer service, prices, cheap and fast shipping. Bruce is the owner and if there are any problems give him a call he'll take care of you.
