What Engine To Use?

Hi everyone! I am building a custom Savage XL from the ground up and I am to a point where I need to choose an engine. I have been told that the O.S. 30VG is a good choice and also the Ofna .28 Picco P3. Some ideas or comments would be great. Thanks for your time.

the new LRP .30 is gonna be a sweet motor. the lrp z.28r is good too, with a buku and a good p&p job.

Welcome man .. I have ran the lrp. spec 3 .28 .. Heard great things about the p3 .. I would love to run both .. if you have the extra 30 bucks buy a p3

Iv'e got an OS 30, barely broken in and really like it. Starts easy and easy to tune. Like I said barely broke in and its starting to make some power. Just my .02

I can't seem to find the LRP .30. I found the .28 on ebay for $165, I have an old .21 but it is Poop I want a big block! Suggestions please.

snow the lrp .30 is a new engine so it may be hard to find on ebay

i run the hpi K4.6HO and I'm telling you it is a beast. I also run a picco .27 but that motor is not made any more and its to bad it is a very good mill as well. cant speak for the rest of the picco's due to the fact that i have not ran any others.

I vote LRP , picco P3, Nova 528.

Stay clear of the .30's and up unless you are not looking for a snappy fast mill. The P3 puts most to shame from what I read. I run a stock LRP and a modded novarossi 528. the .30's + cant touch them.
