Well some of the screw's that go into plastic don't really tighten up like they used to. What can i do to fix it? maybe Teflon tape? Don't want to drill bigger holes. Thanks!

Believe it or not, but using a bit of loctite blue actually works. Makes a bit of a mess when you remove the screw. But I tried just for the sake of trying, and it works...

Easy on the Loctite as it eats plastic believe it or not. When I run into the scenario you are in I will but some CA Glue on the screw and screw it in. This will hold and is still removable as well. As time permits I will replace the plastic behind with a new piece or a used piece.

Only use loctite when the screw is screwing into metal, alu, ect.

Also the best way to prevent this problem is to remove all the wood screw type threaded screws with machine screws. The holes will last so much longer and you also get better holding power. The wood screw thread tends to cut new threads each time you reinstall them and as time goes they will wear out he hole enough so there is nothing to grip to.

Instead of using the smaller screws use the bigger screws like the one that would go in the crossmembers on the bottom,I think they are 4mm instead of three!

ca glue the thick goo or a zip tie cut to the depth of the hole the screw pinches the zip tie and tightgens up the scre nice and snug like it as new plastic works better than ca glue

Yeah my screws on the side that screw into the tranny (countersunk ones) always get where they don't get tight anymore, have to try the CA trick or invest in a good screw kit.....

It's just most of the screws on the transmission (front is aluminum). My dad works in a machine shop they have just about any type of screw ill see what he get do. Except the one for the head of my motor >=( because it is an odd size.
