I picked up a new era models tank hsv510 to get rid of the 1/2 tank lean issue for now , i plan on doing a mid tank mod over the winter , i't came with no instructions at all , should i seal the nipples when i screw them in? i know i left myself wide open on that one LOL. Pic's would really help, i'd appreciate it!
Thanks,
S63

It's the fuel & pressure nipple , never mind , the fuel line is waaaay to close to the shock tower , it's going in my spare parts box , i'll live with the 1/2 lean issue for now , i guess.

No dude, don't give up! I think jester did this mod...???>>> Someone did. I know that. Ill start linking people to this so they will post if they know. Ill also look for the other threads that I saw this in.

Jeremy its not a mid tank he's trying to do...

are you talking about the side mounted tank with the alum mounting bracket from new era? if so i didnt seal the brass nipples and they haven't leaked at all just make sure there screwed all the way in, but sealing them isnt a bad idea just to be safe!! you should love the ofna tank there nice!!! i did the ofna tank mod and love it!!!

Thanks for chiming in on this on one Nitro! Did you make a thread on this tank mod? I know Ive seen one and I'm trying to link him. But I cant find it! :duh:

New Era side-mount tank kit...small tank, but works very well. The Hyper fuel tank is 125cc just as with the New Era tank (can't remember where's it from). I'm doing something similar with a Hellfire tank which is 150cc (only 10cc less than stock).

You're very welcome! :jamout:

I used a file on the rear hole mount to make it a bit larger...my mount wasn't level and it also helped clear the rear shock. You can also replace the straight fuel fitting with a 90-degree fitting found on Tower Hobbies. :coolkid01:

no it actually wasnt me who made the thread but i did post in it but i cant recall either who it was, i just commented on the fact that it comes with the brass nipples to install and the tank is designed better then the stock one but as everyone knows its a bit smaller tank so shorter run times its noticable but not drastic!!
