As far as mine goes in months of abusing the basket rig Savage X I built up nothing has broken and it has faced many many jumps, flips and barrel rolls......

Hi

The piece the steering knuckle bolts too, I always seemed to brake off the two tabs on the ones in the front.

I wonder how. I don't think in all the years I've had a savage that I've ever broken that part. I've broken the axle carrier where the turnbuckle connects and I've snapped a few axles off at the threads. Are you using the proper kingpin type screw that is smooth with only the tip that's threaded?

Hi

I broke 4 of them, and my driving is relatively miled compared to most bashers.

Wonder why I never broke one of those. I've done a lot of damage to the suspension on my savages, so much so that I've snapped hinge pins, shattered arms, broke hinge pin plates, but oddly never that piece.

Hi

What are chubs with rear eliminators.
Guessing he meant "C hubs" on the front and alloy carriers in the rear that don't require that piece.

That's what I have on my X and FluxHP on the rear. I also replaced the lower pins with M4 x 70MM bolts. I got bolts too long so the unthread part is where the carrier/arm would touch, then I cut the end off flush with the locknut. I hate c-clips and find alternatives if I can.

The 6984 look to have more material on them. Not sure what else makes them different. Integy isn't very good at explaining things. You might want to check and see if you can get additional delrin inserts for the pivot points. Spending $40 on carriers to have a horrible amount of slop as the delrin inserts wear would stink if you can't replace them.
