For waterproofing your servo's some guys like to PlastiDip them, not sure though but that is what I have heard, never seen pics though of it done. Also for your receiver most put it in a balloon and I quess tie it or something, not sure but again, just what I have heard. Not sure about waterproofing everything else, I know the transmission is pretty darn watertight, I have washed the entire truck before and even inspected to make sure water didn't get inside and it was perfectly dry! As for the diffs/bulks I am not sure...

Hope this helps you some, if any

It would be some good information to know, winter is coming soon. If anyone has some "tried and true" methods let the community know.

yes, that is my intention to compile some good ideas in one easy to find thread.

i did a search and found alot of people using the plasti-dip saying it works well enough.
the balloon trick is popular, however some say that water will still get in eventually.
here is an article on the plasti-dip method http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/waterproofing-your-rc/

also i found one mention of this dielectric lubricant that will repell that water and protect your electros http://www.aerotrend.com/shop_cat.php?cat=1

i was thinking though, what about using the traxxas servos or Futaba makes them aswell http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXJ36

sorry about that i didnt notice it was discontinued.

i had the 3095 e-maxx those servos can with stand alot of water punishment.

i also thought if your waterproofing everything else how about making a shield to protect your air filter from splashes.

ya, got try to keep th air cleaner dry

Air cleaner I have seen people take the plastic top off a spray can and use the center bolt on the 4.6 motorsaver style air cleaner to hold it on and make a shield over the filter. won't help a submerge but good for splashes.

if you take the servo case apart (top and bottom) and put a thin bead around the lip of the case and give it a minute to start to set up this will make a small gasket for the servo, now as for the rx do the same process(this part may vary to to different rx's) pop open the case and you can buy a spray that you spray over your electronics and it seals it up from water and you can also do this with the servos you can get the spray can at most radioshack stores or you local home improvement stores. here is a link for the spray for the rx
