HA HA ya there are lots of video's of them on you tube of people purposely overcharging them. the only time they are dangerous is when a cell gets punctured or sees Air. Which is only when overcharging and they expand and pop the case or if they get stabbed. This is why hard cases are becoming popular. I believe they have been working on a Lithium Magnesium battery which has all the same benefits as the LiPo but is much safer.

ah lipos bombs waiting to happen if not cared for. my has been going two years with abuse as long as you balance every ten or 20 runs if its a good battery and charging right you should be okay inless you got cheap cells

Exactly Dan. There good so long as taken care of and charged properly which almost has to be done correctly due to the safety features on the chargers unless you use an incorrect charger. You definitely want to stay away from cheap packs like Dan mentioned.
