ya, we're seeing some great stuff outta HPI-Hot Bodies in the last year or so between the D8, D8t, Blitz & Ve8.

BigDan89 turned me on to this, just wanted to share with the site.

Whenever you buy a kit (which your sure to do if you want to race) your gonna have to make an investment outside the cost of the kit itself whether you choose nitro or electric.

the benefit of electric to us New Englanders is that it will allow us to run on an indoor track during the winter (which can be a very long time).

I saw it at first thinking that was a heck of deal with the MMM in it but then saw also that there is no motor and ESC included. This think will take an additional $500 at minimum to go BL and LiPo.

Not a fan of the Plastic chassis either. For what I have put my Nitro 1:8 scale buggy threw that plastic probably wouldn't hold up.

I do like it though. The D8 is more appealing to me. just my .02.

I do love the fact they are coming out with many new and different vehicles lately. Always expanding the market.

remember is a buggy, you DO NOT NEED a MMM in that thing... it would explode. plus you only need one battery. you could have a beautiful machine for under $500 all together.

Good point baddrick. the guy that owns the track at Bank's LHS strongly

suggested you DO NOT put a MMM in an A-Class buggy like this; they tried it

with horrific results. It is way too much power for such a light vehicle.

it is a MMM but i think its just something they had lying around to put in it... or to show what can fit. no need for that much power in a buggy...
still hold to my first post, under $500 and you have a sweet machine that includes a battery to.
also I'm sure after a month or two hpi will offer a metal chassis for it, i think they made it plastic to keep the cost down and make it more appealing to others since it is a "kit" and most "kits" cost a redic amount of money.

I really like that buggy, and I'm not a racer in the least bit but that would be something I'd consider buying before a flux just to bash with. I was considering a hellfire or something comparable for a winter project but I may purchase that. Love the fact that it's a kit.

yup I'm liking the kit part aswel. and buggy's are actually pretty durable as they are so simple. so far this is at the top of my list of things to get.... but then again a 2 month wait is going to be hard
