Does anyone know of an upgrade diff housing that will accept larger carrier bearings? This seems like the weekest part on my trucks and I am looking for alternatives.

HOw long are your bearings lasting and what are you doing with your truck? Do you shim you diffs? You could try flm alum bulkheads they may help but depending on what you do with the truck that may not be an option.

I have shimmed the diffs and check them carefully. The undersized carrier bearing just doesnt handle the power and I constantly blow out the bearing on the ring gear side.
I wont use stock bearings for them anymore but if anyone made a new housing that would fit a larger bearing I would buy it.

Replace the HPI bearings with some Boca or Avid bearings or something of that nature.
I've looked into Boca bearings. Which ones do you suggest? they range quite a bit in price from their budget line to theyre ceramic line. Would the budget bearings be any better than HPI? Or do I need to go all out with the ceramic?

theres in a in between line that will be way better than hpis. ceramic are for racing the make everything work more faster and smoother

The econo line is $26 the green seal line is $101 and the yellow seal ceramics are $130. All of the others are for relatively clean environments. If I'm gonna spend it why not go all the way its not that much more?
These prices are for a complete truck with 2 speed trans from boca's site.
