Ultrasound cleaning the carburetta

Today was my first ever run of my Savage. (Second hand) although it went ok... It seemed to bog down when you open full throttle. Gradual throttle increase was ok but still boggy at the top end.

Does anyone use an ultrasound tank to clean their carbs???

I've used my ultrasound tank very successfully to clean carbs and injectors from bigger engines. But does anyone use one on nitro engines.???

no i don't need to the carbs on nitro engines are very basic and just need a light wash with wd40, ive heard that them ultrasound cleaning baths can do damage to alley or the anodising never the less i think your answer is not in the cleaning its in the tuning up, sounds like your engine is running rich

My thoughts the same Girlypants, i thought a rich mixture too.
So, a no go on the ultrasound. Thats fine will clean with wd40

at least with wd40 your be safe, it wont harm anything like anodising ect
