turbo plug?!?!

good day all,
so get my savage x 4.6 last weekend
run in went well. swapped glow plug over with the 2nd plug included in the RTR kit. tuned engine with great performance.

when i was buying the savage I asked for 2 extra glow plugs for future use. they gave me what was recommended.....HPI power plug #1508
cold R8 turbo plug? it is winter here in England around 5 degrees Celsius. also I was led to believe you can't use turbo plugs in the F4.6 engine. they are a lot longer than the 2 plugs that came with the savage.

any feedback would be apriciated

Thats correct, you Cannot use a turbo style plug in a non turbo plug application.... turbo plugs use a different shaped bottom and seal without the use of a gasket...

good job I didn't try and use them and that I noticed they were incorrect!
I'm going back this weekend to tear him a new A** hole!!

Turbo plug, which has a seat in the head to seal the combustion chamber, mostly used on high end racing engines for most surface type running...

Standard type plug used in most engines used by most hobbyists for bashing and light racing applications....

the 2 that came with the car were x correct it's the extra 2 the recommend that are turbo plugs

would they even fit? if so would they damage my engine? I'm not going to use them I just don't want them blagging me in the shop if I know the facts 🙂

they will not fit, they may physically go in but they are for sure the WRONG plug to use in the Savage that is in your rig..., take in one of your old plugs to demonstrate the fact that you were sold the wrong plug.....
I believe the manual even gives you the reason why and so on, take the manual in also....

didn't know if because they are longer they would hit the top of the piston etc...
I'm sure they won't complain
