Traxxas 30k diff oil ok for my XL?

Hi guys i am stripping down my XL and want to fill the diffs with some slicone oil.I only have Traxxas 30k here so was wandering if that would be ok in my XL?Thanks or any info.

Yes that will be fine. The brand don't matter. Its just the Wt and personal preference.

Thanks mate.Well i have messed up now.One of the diff screws wouldnt come out and to cut a long story short i now need a new diff case!In the XL manual it shows you 2 z892 shims either side but i have only 1 on one side and none on the other!?So i better order some of them when i order the diff case!While i am at it i mite aswell see if there is any recomendations for some different oil weight as i don't have to only use what i have now.I only bash so is there a better weight than the 30 i have?Thanks for any info.

15k in the front and 10k in the rear is what I'm using and it works pretty good

Thanks Mickey.I couldnt get any 15k but managed to get some 10.I am going to try 10k in both diffs as that seems to be prity popular aswell.All i have to do now is wait for it to turn up:cussing:
