Transmitter/Receiver/Servos

I just purchased the Savage KIT last week and it’s going to be here this week. I am really looking forward to putting it together. I am getting back into the hobby as I have been out of it for many years now. My question is which transmitter, receiver and servos should I purchase for the Savage? Should I go with the 2.4 GHz? Should I go with a 3 channel?
