Hey Guys could someone refresh my memory ? I took my Savage out the closet after 10 years and I decided to get it running so I can give it to my stepson for his birthday . Only problem is I got it started and it stayed running but was idled very high I adjusted the throttle trim but didn’t help I know there are other adjustments I can make just don’t remember ! Can anyone help ? Thanks !!

Th

Thanks I had lost my Manuel big help ....so I got it idling much better and seems to run good for a min but sometimes when I gun it it will kill then I have a hard time starting it ! Any recommendations ?

First I would make sure you are using FRESH Fuel, Put new Glow plug In and Flush the Carb with denatured alcohol , I use a medium size
syringe connected to carb inlet and I push the alcohol back and forth with throttle part open , this usually clears out any goo in the carb . Also check / replace your fuel lines if they are 10 years old and that the fuel tank is air tight . I wouldn't mess with the Tune just yet if it ran fine before shelving. Also let engine come up to Temp before going W-O-T as that is a big part of engine performance .

My throttle servo is glitching bad just doing erratic crazy things ...I changed all the battery’s pulled out the crystals and reinserted how can I determine if it’s the receiver or the servo that’s bad ?

Try plugging the throttle servo into the steering port and see if it still glitches.
