Tire/wheel slop...

Is it just me or do most Savages have some slop after tightening a wheel on? It appears to me that there should/could be a shim or two behind the wheel hex pin to take up that play. Obviously so it's not tight, but enough to not make the wheel feel like it flops around too much.

They do. Most people don't worry about it cuz all they do is bash. The only time it's critical is if your a racer and lookin for that dialed in ride. You can either shim it on the inside of the axle (dogbone side) or outside behind the hex.
