Can someone please explain what size rims come stock on the savage x, how different off-sets of rims effect the truck, what sizes up and down can be used on the savage, and what changing the size of the rim adapter does besides allow the use of different rims. Also any pics of rims other than the stock ones on a savage would be highly appreciated. I know these are some newbie questions, but I realy don't know what to look for in a rim at the moment other than I know that I want to run a set of beadlocks from Maximizer. I am looking at their aluminum rim, but i am not sure if it will fit the savage properly.

how different off-sets of rims effect the truck,

they push the tire away from the truck x the amount of offset giving you a wider overall stance, for example: 1/2" offset rims will make your tire stance 1" wider overall-- 3/4" offset rims will give you 1.5" etc.

Not a heck of a lot. hpi upgraded the 14mm to 17mm back some time ago. prolly gives better leverage or somethin, who knows. Many run 14mm with no issue. If you run 23mm you need after marked adapters.

Maximizer Beadlocks 1/2" Offset

Hard (if not impossible) to say best, but different foams are different compounds (firmness) and effect grip.

The Maximizers above have proline moulded foams & are very firm.

The Dirt Bonz have OFNA Yellow (softer compound) more grippy.

Ok so for bashing and mostly offroad driving what foam is the best...also I hear that there are different type foams, could someone explain some things about this?
