will the rotostart shaft work on the sullivan tiger drive backplates

i don't believe so...I think the tiger drive is more of a spline drive, while the HPI roto shaft is a ball and cross-pin...I could be mistaken though...

The tiger drive uses a ball end hex drive (7/32). After my experiences with tiger drives. I'll never own another one. The gears are made of some type of powdered metal. If your engine has a little too much pinch or floods the gears shatter like glass. I went through three at the Halloween bash in October trying to get my pulling truck on the track. The last one broke when i tried to restart after a flame out. The engine was already warm and I shouldn't have had any problem. Another guy I run with has also had issues with gear life. Now everything I own has a roto-start on it.

Yea I got experience with two different ones myself and never broken one. I guess its a toss up for you. I personally run pullstart on all my stuff now.

This article convinced me to try it. I have had no luck with pulls, some with the roto. So, before I smash my Savage against a concrete wall repeatedly, we arrive at the Tiger drive.

I have a ton of :resp: for the guys on that site and I'm hoping this will be the end of my starter wars. Peace.

Have had the same tiger drive on 3 engines from start ( breakin ) to finnish and the only isue I had was fitting it, lcg midtank made the bulkhead interfere and I am not sure about the RIGHT side of the stock tvp I do not believe it will clear it. I love the thing.
