can anyone tell me the difference in THS 8020 and the 8025? Very little info in THS site. Found a few of both for sale, and they both say for .25/.28. Any other info anyone has on these pipes would help me a lot. Thanks

I'm not seeing anything either. If there is a difference though, it is the pipe. Both the 8020 and 8025 use the same header/ gasket/ mounting hardware kit.

copypasta from RCUniverse.

Hey savagejim I messed up with my other reply.

The following is what I meant for anyone to read.
This info is from February Of this year. (2006)

I got this info from THS about the THS#8025
The 8025 was redesigned. I asked
THS if the 8025 still looks like the one on my
sons savage and they replied.

No it actually looks like our 8020 pipe now.
The easiest way to tell the difference is by the size of the stinger.
The 8025 has a 10mm ID and 11.9mm OD stinger.
The 8020 has a 8mm ID and 10mm OD stinger.
I have to change the picture on our site.

Thanks

This is a reply to an E-Mail I had sent to THS because I had just
bought a THS#8025 off of E-Bay and it didn't look like the one
I have on my sons savage. So for anyone who has an 8025
that looks like an 8020 check the stinger size. I checked mine
with my dial calipers and its right on the money for an 8025.

Looking at the two, the 8020 looks like it would lend more to a torque/low end enhancing pipe and the 8025 would be a high rpm enhancing.

Usually low end/torque pipes are a bit fatter, shorter and the cone shapes (the taper towards the header end and taper/end past the exhaust stinger) are a bit more abrupt. High end/high rpm pipes generally are longer/skinnier with more tapered cones on them.

THS used to make 2 revo pipes. They were shaped similarly to these two and they listed the shorter/fatter one as the "torque" pipe whereas the other was listed as the "high rpm" pipe. They only have the shorter/fatter one now. I have their small block and big block pipes on both my revos and they do really well.
