I have went through 3 throttle servos since ive got my xl is there a a reason for this? The stock one burnt out an the i put 2 sf-50s on it an the both burnt up! Is it the stock servo horn do i need to try a different setup? Or a better servo? Plz help!!

wow not sure why they are burning out .. are you running a huge battery pack or something? i still have stock servos in some of my trucks that still are going after a few years ... i don't think its very common to have the throttle servo go like yours are ... typically its the steering servos that fail from hard impacts ect ... and for the price your paying for the stock servo.. might as well upgrade to a hitec http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUZ80&P=ML cheap but do work well... like a stock replacement .. but holds up well...

it fun this has been brought up i got myself a savage ss and put savox servos in it with a dx3s hans set and so on set the travel and i also burt 2x throttle servos out however what i found was when putting the battery, servo box cover on i was just pinching one of the wires can not remember if it was the servo one, but anyways so when i got a load of new stuff for the truck i pulled the hole thing apart cleaned made it look sexy, as you do lol
and then went on to see what the problem was with the servo and like i said one of the wires was just getting pinch but since finding this problem i have still not yet had a problem she running sweet

I would run a NiMH rx pack to power Servos and adjust the throw as they are not binding at either end of their movement and this should end your servo problems

It could be a bad batch of servos try a savox or a bls series futaba or even a higher end hitec or just send yours in for repair I can tell you the bls352 can handle anything a savage can do to it sorry about your problems
