I have seen the popular OFNA throttle/brake linkage mods, and I still don't understand something. With the stock servo horn, it piviots going from throttle to brake. On all of the mods I see, there is a single servo horn, and on all the pictures, there is fuel tubing tight on both sides of the brake rod, so when you are applying throttle, the brake linkage is also moving foreward. If the brake arm lever goes foreward, it applies the brakes. So at WOT are the brakes applied??.......What am I missing? so many people say they love this mod, but I just don't get it?? Is it just me? Am I over thinking this?

When the throttle is applied, the servo moves counter clockwise and the throttle linkage moves toward the back of the truck. So unless there is a linkage problem, the brakes are never engaged with throttle applied. The fuel tubing at the front of the brake linkage is there because it is stiffer than a spring so it applies the brakes more efficiently, but it will also compress to give you a better feel when braking. Some people put the fuel tubing on the back side of the brake linkage is to ensure the brakes fully disengage when brakes are released. On the throttle/brake mod you should see two silders, one for each linkage rod so the rods move smoothly. There is usually a spring on the forward end of the throttle linkage, this is to prevent stress on the throttle linkage when applying brakes. I can post pics if you need them and hope this helps you out.
