Throttle issue

So the problem I'm having is my savage accelerates more after braking, my throttle gap is good, the car accelerates properly but when I apply brakes and then let off the brakes the throttle opens up more than 1mm and sticks causing the car to take off without being on the gas anyone had this issue?

Yes i have these problem recently and the cause is (see pic)
Do you change or upgrade the servo? Maybe you tie too much the screw...and it doesn't slide well.
I am sure there is the problem. Sorry my english is limited and I can't use the right terms.. but for sure @Rooky , @Jam Racing 1 @X can explain you better the cause.

Sounds like your mixer may be binding. The mixer arm is pictured above.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to find a normal servo horn and do the slider mod. It's fully adjustable and works far better than that stock servo saver.

This is mine:

I'm using a standard straight servo horn, cheap traxxas metal sliders (better to use longer plastic sliders), springs and generic collars. I also use a ball end on the throttle pivot vs the z-bend.

Might be a silly question, but is your throttle return spring installed? Is it overly worn out if it is?

Another angle of an older savage that I used one bolt on the throttle servo arm as well as plastic sliders:

I like to put the throttle return spring (TRS) on the linkage if possible. Then the pressure isn't on the carb slide itself causing off kilter wear on the throttle slide over time which eventually leads to binding of the carb. Granted, if the little throttle ball pops off, then I'm screwed, but I've never had that happen. Even if it did, the accordion seal and soft spring on the throttle slide (if there is one) usually has enough "spring" in it to pull the carb mostly closed.
