Hey guys,

I'm recently running the k4.6 HO & right from day one i didn't like the performance of the engine in my Savage X.
So i spent 2 hours roaming around Google & YouTube reading up on the Axial .28 spec 1s, if broken in properly that engine will be beast.

usually at the 1 gallon mark the front bearing starts to leak and here lately ive been hearing of the axial mills coming apart for odd reasons. if you want a mill that will be a beast get a picco or lrp imo and the k mill is the same as the axial just a little different timing on the crank.

The Axial .28 is a fine engine in opinon

I have had little to no issues with mine and they get a beating

I own 3 .28`s and 1 .32

The OWB's do seem to wear quickly

a remedy for this is preheating the mill before starting and a slipping OWB will grab.

IMO great mill for the money

Dan, question regarding the OWB. DO you use pullstarts or rotostarts?

pull...........

Hmm..just wondering because I have heard the rotos are harder on OWB but since you use pullstarts that wouldn't be the case. Maybe I have just been lucky with my Axials.

Yah i use the roto start for the break in and then the pull start.

I went through 4 pull starts breaking in the k4.6 HO !

Here is what I'm looking at getting a .32RR-1 mill. As for the 4.6 H.O. I hear that mill is more for the hellfire with a single speed trans.
