The starter thingy

My savage, like most has an electric starter. But the "oneway" bearing to the crankshaft seems to be faulty, is there a way of making it work or will I have to get a new one?

It was working fine but after I went through some water and mud it nolonger wants to work. :thinking:

its likely slipping, it needs to be taking out and cleaned maybe but I'm not positive....

I have tried to clean it, and it works under "finger tip pressure" but as soon as you try to start using the electric starter, it slips!

if cleaning it never worked its likeyl pooched. even the smallest crack on the casing its not good. just get a new one and you will be set. what kind of motor is it off of?

There arent any cracks, but the bearing appears to be not working.

Engine is a hpi savage 4.1 big bore
