Greetings all, I have a general question about the 3sp gearbox Internal parts. I own a K5.9 XL and running it at a local park with friends a stripped my idler gear. Finding a replacement isn't the issue, I was wondering if I could use the newer F5.9 steel idler gear to replace it?
Also, in doing that, would I also have to replace the drive gear to mesh with the new idler gear?

Yes you can replace idler gear with one from a later box but you will need to match the drive gear to it.
