So winter is here and I don't plan on puttin the savage away. I bought my truck last spring and love the S**T out of it. It is pretty heavily modded ( I think anyways) and I want to protect it and find its limits in the wet weather. So my question is. What do you have to do to actually do damage to the engine other than suckin it full of water? I have heard of temperature shocking but have seen a few trucks including my own cartwheel though puddles taking a full dose upsidedown and steaming like you just popped the rad out of your car. I even recently saw one land back half only in the puddle and continue idleing with the head partially submerged. Do I have to do something quite extreme to achieve a temp shocked motor? Maybe full submersion after breaking through ice? I don't care much about my motor this year cause a really awesome guy that owns the shop I go to let me "steal" his brand new OS Max 30 VG that was slated for his XL. The price was awesome. And I will break it in next spring. Thanks guys and any winter tips would be most helpful.
