First post here, take it easy on me, LOL. Great site by the way, I've been lingering around for a while now.

Okay, I'm planning on getting the Futaba 3PM TX/RX and was curious as to what servos are recommended to go with it? I need 3 digital ones.

Steering - HS-5645MG (found this suggested on here)
Throttle - (i'm guessing, faster is better here)
Reverse - (reverse maybe noobish, but it saves me from walking)

I've seen the very well put together list up there stickied, but I'm really not too familiar with servos to know what I need. I'm sure it's personal preference more than anything, but I wanted some opinions from the pros. Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

first of all welcome to the forum.
for a steering servo any servo with over 130 oz-in of torque will do but the higher the torque rating the stronger the servo will be ( stronger is better when it comes to the steering)
for the throttle / brake servo the factory steering servo will do just fine and the hpisf2 servo has about 80oz-in of torque so any thing equivalant to that will work. reverse I'm not to sure about but I'm guessing that just about anything will work here. me i use a hitec 645mg for steering and the hpisf2 for throttle and brakes and they work well , i know there are better servos out there but these have not failed me yet. hope this helps . i just seeing that you are going digital so i would put three of the 5645mg hitecs in there and you shouldnt have a prob

welcome to the hpisf family my friend, glad you found us!! i guess your question was already answered but if any more problems or questions arise feel free to ask!!

Thanks for the replies and the welcome, I appreciate it.

I'm currently running the hitec 645mg for my steering servo. So I can use that one for my throttle/brake servo once I upgrade my tx/rx? I was under the assumption the servos had to be digital with the 3PM, or it was at least best to go digital with that tx/rx?

Thanks again, I appreciate the help.

i got my 3 pm before getting my ace ds 1015 servos. no problems at all.

Thanks guys, I think I will go with the ACE 1015 for steering, the ACE 1313 for my throttle/brake, and just use one of my existing servos for the reverse. After some reading, this combo seems to be pretty solid.

Thanks again.

I'm also planning on doing a mid tank mod, upgrading my steering posts with bearings, and changing my throttle/brake linkage out with an Ofna kit. I would of never thought about any of that without this site. So big props to all the people that contribute, hopefully one day I will be able to.
