sts .30-- --2 needles??????

how do u adjust idle w/ just 2 needles??? w/ 3 needles u have 1 for high spd, low spd, and idle. just curious. a couple of engines i have been looking at have 2 needles.

I am kinda confused on your question ... My sts has a high speed needle and low speed needle, My surefire has 3 needles high, low, mid range,


there is not a needle that adjusts the idle, there is a little screw u turn that lets the throttle slide open and close...

ok, i gotcha. so the 4.1 is 2 needles like the sts. i thought the idle was considered a needle. do u get lots of extra power over the 4.1 w/o the rb mod???

on traxxas engines there is an idle needle

I understand what your saying. All carbs have an idle, it's a given. So when it says 2 needle carb that means it has a low and a high end and and idle. A 3 needle carb has a low,mid, high end, and an idle. We just never count the idle needle. Make sense?
