Hey guys! I'm gonna redo my fuel lines as my old ones were used and cut shorter quite a bit. I'm looking to go back to stock, or similar to it. Anyone know of any ideal sizes or does it not affect anything? And if size doesn;t matter really, i'll just go back to stock size, could someone measure precisely please?
Thanks, jeff!

i've never measured the fuel lines myself so I'm not sure what to say but i wanted to take the time to welcome u to the forum, and suggest saying a hello in the new members section so everyone else gets a chance to welcome you and get to know u better!!!

Alright, thanks for youe help bud! And I made a quick thread in the newbie forum! Thanks for that 😀

extra fuel tubing will not hurt, and some even say it helps with the half tank lean issues that savages tend to have when you add some loops to the tubing.

Hey bro, welcome to the forum, great to have ya.

I'm thinking that the manufacturer's of the Savage arent real exact when they cut the fuel tubing to length. Not sure how many guys will be able to answer the question as most here would have prob already replaced their tubing.

Ive always just kinda guestimated & it worked out fine.

Same here - I always just used enough to get from the tank to the carb, and the muffler to the tank - leaving enough slack to zip tie it to something so it doesn't get into the spur gear (zip tie enough to hold it in place but not enough to pinch off the line)

Also, personal opinion, I would also add an in-line fuel filter, can't hurt. BUT - make sure you mark the flow on the filter, because if you ever take it off, and reverse it, all the crap you caught will flow right into the carb 🙂

i shouldnt really chime in here as I'm all brushless, but i thought that keeping fuel lines as short as possible reduces the HTL issue???

Welcome

All you need is enough fuel line to go around the back of the engine and in the front of the engine..

Don't have it so tight if you hit a bump the lines will fall off and don't have so much that the lines will be all over the place falling out of the truck ..

I'm not sure if your savage is stock but you so should be able to use 4-5 inches from the tank to the pipe and about 7-8 inches from the tank to the carb ..

hope this helps and welcome to the forum
