OK I was running my truck today and the carb started getting stuck open occasionally didn't really happen while the truck was running but it started stalling on me and when I looked at it with the truck not running is when I noticed it acting funny. I have the k5.9. It was not really stuck but just enough to hang it up on the way back in. I'm uprgading the throttle servo to the SF-2 as soon as fedex gets it here, which I'm thinking will help it not get hung up so easily but what else should I be looking at to figure out what the problem is? I don't want it to get worse. The funny thing is that it did not rev high even one time while running which I would have expected, and I think the stalling was due to the LSN being too lean which I adjusted and it seemed to get rid of the stalling. Can the carb slide be lubricated somehow or is fuel suppossed to do that?

when you say its sticking open a lil when your truck isnt running... do you have the electronics on still as well as your radio? cause as soon as you turn your electronics on all uf um on.. it should center the servos and thats how its not reving or acting up when the trucks running ... but check your return spring on the carb. it might not be pulling it all the way closed.. good luck happy bashn..

Sorry, the electronics are on, the engine just isn't running. When I was pulling the throttle trigger on the radio is when the carb slide was getting hung up a little. I think it may have been the throttle return spring because I tweaked it a little and it seemed to stop but I noticed the carb slide does this when it has even a tiny amount of sideways pressure on it, like it's not going in and out perfectly straight. Hopefully when I put the SF-2 in there the incease on torque will help push it back a little easier. Although too much torque could make it worse if for some reason it is not going in straight enough. It will put even more pressure on it and bind it worse. I'm sure it will be fine though. If not I'll figure something out LOL! Also I loosened the return spring some since I thought being a little too tight may have done in my servo but once I get the SF-2 in there I'll tighten it back up which will also help it close better. I think the SF-2 is like 90oz/in versus the SF-1 which I think is like 40-50oz/in.
