I noticed some quite heavy wobbling on my spur gear when I put a new one on my Octane today.
This came from the slipper-spring not being all flat in the ends, so the spur gear was pushed in where the wire making up the spring ended. (Hope I am making sense here).
There are just som many things made totally without any quality what so ever with this car it is amazing.
On my Flux, the spring is flattened in the ends, but not on the octane. I guess this wobbling is the reason for the short life of the clutch bell, and now also a worn out spur gear.
I removed the spring and replaced it with a spacer instead - no wobbling.
You should check yours!
