Spur Gear on Sav X

Tell me an easy way to get it out. So far, it looks like I have to pull the engine every time I burn it up.

And, this is the gear in my truck: http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/76937/

But the hobby shop has nothing like that for the Sav X. They have a 49t, which I'm not opposed to, but it is set up for the slipper pads on both sides, which I don't have. What do I do?

you do have to pull the engine every time you change spur gear

as for the hobby shop not having one you can ether wate for the to get one or see if they can order one or try ebay

on a x you can pull the top of the tranny case off. 4 screws in roll bar and 3 in top of the case. top of trany and spur will be in your hand

hmm is that the new X spur ?
if thats the style your using a s25 will fit , just wont have the extra ribs .
on the older f 4.1 savages they had a sandwich style , I have since converted over the S25 style.
the link nitro guy posted is the S25 which would fit your truck I believe

Like Justin said, if you have an X, pull the roll bar and the top the tranny case off. Couldn't be much easier that that. Good luck.
