Hey guys I just picked up a spektrum dx 3.0 and I want to get a fail safe next but I'm finding that the fail safes are not compatible with the spektrum radios. If I get the telemetry setup that has voltage indicators and temp indicators that would kind of take care of having a failsafe in a way right? It just wouldnt apply the brakes like a fail safe but I would be aware of my signal, interference, temps, and battery life? what do you think?

well i have found out that the fail safe on the spektrum is a signal not a voltage one i run a failsafe but my bulit in fail safe dosent work when i set it up

I find that the spektrum receiver starts to loose sync with the transmitter and go into failsafe mode before the receiver battery goes really flat. You also tend to notice the steering and brakes mostly fade to nothing too. The big problem is a complete loss of power to the receiver or throttle servo but nothing can prevent or fix that other then springs.

You can use an after market failsafe with the spektrum. Just don't set up the failsafe when you bind the receiver. Like Dan said the built in failsafe is for signal loss only.

with a spectrum you should not have any signal loss the most worrying thing is the battery going dead and the truck will take off use a failsafe like ofna one venom or any other brand it is a voiltage one and a signal cant go wrong with that.
