Spektrum 3.0 vs 2.0

Is there really a big difference between the Spektrum dx 3.0 and the 2.0? I want a dsm radio but I'm not trying to spend a whole lot of cash. I am strictly bashing no racing and I don't even consider racing. am I losing something worth while if I buy the 2.0 over the 3.0?

The dx3 is a 3 channel system which you will need to run reverse if ever want to do so. It also come with an extra reciever for an another vehicle if when you buy the next savage.

well if that is the only difference thanks you've answered my question. I'm gonna go with the dx 2.0 as I don't really care about the reverse or the extra receiver.

There is always a good deal on spektrum stuff on ebay, I'm currently looking for another sr3001 receiver.

i don't really care that much for reverse but my truck came with it so i kinda find it handy to not have to go turn the truck around if i get too close to a tree and cant turn tight enough just flip the switch lol and stand on it hahaha it go "spinny spinny" as a friend of mine put it

you don't have to have a 3rd channel to run reverse bud...you could use the reverse mixer instead...it can be tricky to get the hang of though...

i just run over whatever is in my way. if its a tree i center my truck up and then its WOT from their do alittle flip and their you go you are far enough away to turn em' and burn em away from the tree.

also, I find that if I'm nosed up against something solid, just blipping the throttle will often bounce me back far enough to turn around it...the bumpers are nice and springy...

haha, well i got a bid in on a 3.0....my reciever went out cus i ran it in the snow, and i was gonna get a new one anyways...

well it wasnt my reciever. my throttle servo went south cus it was wet. but i dried it out, and it works fine now.
