Hey guys! I had a family member pass on a HPI Savage to me! I've don't know where to start with it as I have never owned one previously!

I know that there is a lot of extras on this model! Any info would be great!

so, you have an hpi savage( from what I'm seeing, it's most likely an x). as you know, it's heavily modified. the engine is an lrp zr .30, a very good engine.

from what I can tell, the aluminum looks to be either integy brand or random stuff found on ebay.

if you are good with a wrench, I would check things like the diff's, tranny, and bearings.

and btw, welcome to the forum, and if you have any more questions just ask 🙂

Someone got a little excited and made a shelf queen! Nice looking, but not something I'd bash with.

Personally, I'd get a set of stock upper/lower arms and shock towers off ebay. Aluminum ones will bend or break whatever they are connected to the first time you hit something. With that LRP30 on it... it's going to be a handful.

Also, get the X rollbar/engine protector and replace that wire one on there. The stock one has been holding up great for me.

Thank you for your welcoming message! It was very helpful as i had no idea what I had here! I have been thinking about what I want to do with it and have come to the conclusion to sell it to someone who would get more out of it than me! Have you any advice on selling something like this?

Kind regards
Alex

well, your best bet is to put it one ebay or craigslist( or a facebook rc group for your area, if you have one). I would start it out at 350-400$ and see what happens.( if everything works ok). post lots of pics, and don't sound desperate. tey to at like you know what your talking about when it comes to rc. experienced buyers will take advantage of people who don't know what they have.

if anyone makes an offer considerably less then what I posted, tell us. I don't want you to get ripped off 🙂
