smooth castle 2200kv vs ribbed castle 2200kv

Anybody know the differences in these two motors? anybody ever put the finned one in a flux? mine won't fit in the motor plates

As far as I know the ribbed can simply is there to allow extra cooling surfaces for the motor, possibly a call to Castle may help you figure out what to do....

Based on this link from Castle the smooth motor is only offered in the Sidewinder 8th sport esc and motor combo....
