Wow I never thought I could do it, but I stopped smoking on Sep 25th. It hasn't been a walk in the park, but not as hard as I have made it out to be in the past either. I've tried a few times before and failed mainly because I just wasn't ready. I didn't use a single patch, shot, or pill, just always figured if i was going to spend that much money on nicotine supplements then I might as well just keep on enjoying my smokes. If your mind isn't set on quitting then no matter what method you use it isn't going to work. Don't get me wrong I still have the urge for one from time to time, but nobody said it would be easy, just have to stay focused. Wish me luck, the battle is still far from over.

Just thought I'd share and let people know it is possible,
Tobias

Glad to hear that Tobias. One of these days i will hopefully give up the cigs too..😛eace:

Sweet my man keep it up! over 20 years still smoking here. 2 packs a day and I'm almost ready...

very rare occurrance now but i get the urge after quitting 15 years, makes you wonder what the heck they put in em eh?

congrats & good luck my man, you made it through the toughest part

Well done man, i always said id give up when i was 30, well I'm nearly 31 now and still puffing away lol but seriously i envy you, wish i could be smoke free, i will do it one day but as you i need to be ready for it which i just am not right now, maybe when I'm 35 lol

congratulations your a stronger person then me i guess, i always say I'm going to quit whenever the price of them goes up but haven't yet!!

I am one that Envys you bro, ive tried several times but mostly because i was asked to, and you hit it on the nail when you said if YOU arent ready nothing will help you quit, on a side note, if it wasnt for smoking i probably would of tossed the savage in the garbage when i first got it and didnt know anything about nitro... I'm only 25 and been smoking for 8 years, i don't smoke in my house tho, or let anyone else for that matter, spent to much money and time remodeling to have it destroyed in a year.

Congrats on quitting. It's very hard to do. I have been smoke free for 5 years. Trust me, It get's easier. Good work so far. Just think of all the parts you can buy for your Savy with the money you save from buying packs.

Thanks for all the support guys!
It was just time for something new, Ive been needing to do better for my family. Sept 25th was 10 years that I've been together with my wife and it was time for a change. I'm getting older and so are my boys, I didn't want to see them hurt watching me suffer for something that I did. $6-7 dollars a pack a day just wasn't cutting it anymore. Plus it's a good thing I stopped when I did too, I just had a hernia surgery last Friday and there was no way I was going to hobble out to the garage for a smoke. Lol

I hope that one day you will also find the strength to quit, life is too short, make it count.
