Hi all, my slipper nut kept undoing its self to the point where, within seconds it was off !!!
in pic below was the problem. hex washer had rounded off which isolates the spring and nut from the rotational torque. I made a temp sollution by filling a normal washer to fit. hope this helps some one as it took me ages to work out the problem.

It's not mainly the washer. The nut itself needs replaced. The lock part of the nut gets worn out and doesn't do it's job anymore. Kinda like the wheel nuts after bein removed and installed numerous times.

yes thats right, a new nut does help. But if your washers knackered even several new nuts and thread lock don't work, as i found out.

what does work with a rounded off hex washer,
is if you have enough thread a second nut tightened up against original nut. this worked for me as a temp till a replacement washer was sorted.
