I ruined my first pad because the nut backed off, the pad glazed and cracked. new nut with loctite, this pad is slipping like crazy now. theres oil all over the chassis, I'm certain my front bearing is blown, thats the least of my concerns at this point. why i mentioned that is could the oil from the bearing sling up to the slipper and cause it to slip? because the pad is glazed again, and the nut was still tight. any ideas?

i sanded the disc, ill try it one more time, going to use the dremel to gouge little lines in it, and a new slipper pad, see if that helps

adb i had the same prob i had to sand the steel plate that the slipper runs on for it to grab right

Yeah the pads will glaze the disks just like brakes on 1:1 cars and the material needs to be removed from the disk (the slipper plate).

I doubt it is slipping from an oil leak, most of that oil should be from the flywheel back.

And don't do the twin slipper, it is worse then what you have now for different reasons.

i don't know how the pad glazed though, i have a new pad to put on and I'm just gonna have to make the disc rough so the pad grabs it... keep in mind its a NEW pad with only 5 tanks or so on it, and i kept it locked down
