I have the original savage x with the f4.1, its has the dual slipper. I just got a new stock spur gear, because my robinson racing finally wore out. My question is how nessacary is the little hex washer? With the washer the lock nut doesn't thread in very far and the spring is crooked and the spur gear wobbles. Without the washer the nut threads in good and the spur gear runs pretty true.
