I have run into a problem while sealing my new LRP, got everything done till the last part.

After findin the right size wrench I thought I had it made, it turned about 3/4th turn and came right off. It was so tight i wouldnt of even bothered sealing it but I needed to trun that nipple around anyway.

anyone know where I can get one of these? or maybe will the one out of my k4.6 work??

thanks for any advice.

I was afraid I wouldnt be able to get the small part out of the carb, believe it or not it came out with my fingers, can't believe how loose it was.

BTW: the pinch screw was very loose out of the box, I could of removed it by hand too.
so watch for loose (or really tight ) screws if you get one of these.

I just realized something, I can't believe it and really really don't know what's a matte with me but I should have my head checked after this one. I was tightning the thing. no wonder it snaped.

stupid stupid stupid:duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh: :stressed:

i hope i can find the part

that sucks i think that vavle from your other mill will work,i broke one on my mt racing one day and had a os .18 and took the one off of the stock .15 and it worked

I have found that the LHS is great for getting parts that are rare like the carb parts. Otherwise the LRP seems to be very similar carb and crank case to the LST2 427 as well. I can't garantee they are the same but they definately look similar (when I pulled them apart last).

Thanks guys, I justr can't believe I did that, I can't get over the fact that I did that.

I ordered a couple different ones I could find just incase the LHS dosent have them (they don't on their website). I also emailed LRP and asked them about getting one, thing is they don't have a Part number on there parts blow up drawing, they just have a few of the parts listed with numbers. One thing I am worried about using something diferent that an exact mach is the tuning, not really general tuning but break in settings. guess I will just have to go by what I have seen in the past as far as richness.

thanks again

Just wanted to share this with you guys. I had written LRP and told them the part broke on me. when I realized it was my fault I wrote them back and let them know it was my fault. Here is the email I got from them today.

John,

Due to your honesty I have a replacement here for you if you like free of charge. It has been taken off of another engine if that’s ok. At least you do not have to pay for it.

Subject: LRP Product Support JUST SENT A DIFFERENT EMAIL

Hi,

I just sent a different email (the one below this one) with pictures. I just wanted to let you guys know it was 110% my fault this part broke. Stupid me realized I was tightning the part not loosening it. I cant believe I did this but wanted to let you know with out a shadow of a doubt I did this, my fault.

I would still like to buy an replacement part. Been looking everywhere and have not found any anywhere. Please help.

Regards,

John

Remember, lefty loosy, righty tighty... Sorry to see you had a problem. I got mine the other day from slapmafro. Still breaking it in but so far this thing has unreal power. Only thing I don't like is the pullstart cord is kind of short..
Good luck with the repair. I would think its a standard HSN, you should be able to use the one of the HPI mill.

Thats great to know about their customer service. Its nice when a company actually goes out of their way to make help a customer. Thats what keeps customers coming back and recommending them to others.

I received the part from SH engine's .28. It does look exactly like the one from the LRP. I know its not enough to say they are the same mill but if you look at the parts blow up for the sh engine's .28 they do look a lot the same. Look at the pull satrt and the linkage peice on the slide carb.

Here's the LRP blow up, looks pretty close to the SH one

If your looking for parts for your LRP and can't find them , this might be worth a try.

Here is where I found the parts, if they are the same these guys have lots of stuff.

Good to know Shift. How do you like the engine so far? I'm on tank 5 and Ive only leaned the HSN 1/8th of a turn and the power is unreal. I cant keep the front wheels down. I wish I had a 3 speed in this thing..

Hi,

I received the part's from LRP today they sent me the complete assembly including the needle. I am really glad they did because I needed the alu washers, one of them was pretty badly dideformed from my tighting it.

The part from SH engines and LRP are very very close, one pretty big difference that I can see, the hole where the fule flows into the banjo on the SH it is on the flat sides (where the wrench grabs) on the LRP its on the rounded sides. heres a pic, the SH has the hole showing

I have a question, does that hole have to line up exactly with the hole in the banjo?

I don't think so because mine isnt lined up. But I could be wrong. I'm sure larsen will have a better answer on this.

I thought that wa the case, of course mine is about 45 degrees away from each other.

thanks
