My ongoing project on my Savage X.

Brand New, after break in. Pretty much taking it apart and putting it back together.

Sealed most of my engine with the exception of the needles. (I'll get to them later.)

Wooo parts.

Servo in. I have a feeling this bad boy is going to eat double a's alive. LHS was out of hump packs if you can believe it.

Its snowing pretty hard here on the west coast of Canada (Global warming my ***, hasn't snowed like this in 10 years here) so I spent the night working away on my savy preparing it for the big white outdoors. Here is what I did

Sweet a nifty little plastic box! Came with my Hitech 5645. I've had enough of wrestling that stupid cover on to the radio box. Mod time!

Hey look at that, new radio box. Secured with Velcro strips, and a zip tie through the back. Sealed with silicone. Hoping for water tightness there. I'm planning to bend some metal off the side of an old computer and litter it with holes to be a nice plate for it. Or I might butcher a Tupperware container for a plastic protection. Later, later.

Industrial elastic band taken off a new mattress. Should prevent any blow opens indefinably. Chap stick to clear the linkage. And my air filter spray protector. What I'm hoping to do with this is channel the warmer air around the engine to the carb because I have serious problem with the air and fuel freezing in the carb and stalling it out. Its fine when it warms up but I'm stoked to see if this works even a little bit. I was thinking of putting a sock around the spray shield to help insulate the intake. Don't know weather I will yet.

I hope the plastic doesn't melt being within that proximity to the engine. I'll find that out later!

Starting to look savage again...

Fuel Filter and lines in. I checked a few threads here, I think this one is pretty original. Tried to do it with the least line possible and as few turns and bends as possible. =) I'm pretty satisfied with this setup, took me a doobie and a little less half an hour to think and finish it.

Ready to rock with the sock.

I'll get some more pic's later. I'm hoping to get a throttle mod soon, and upgrade more parts as they blow up. I have plans to make a roll cage and skid plate for this with things I find around the shop at home.

Hope you guys like it. =)
