Hi I am a newbie, I opened up the transmission today and saw that there was a bit of shavings In the case and is the transmission suppose to have fluid or some kind of liquid just curios about that

should not be shavings in the transmission case, if there is find out what it is and where it is from, is it metal or plastic ? and yes a light coat of white lithium grease does help the gears, just not too much is all ya don't want a mess in the case...

Check the screws that hold the plastic gear to the metal ( don't know what to call it ) plate?? On mine, the screws came loose and were getting chewed by the gear in front of it.

part no# 86087 is a aluminium plate holding the one way bearing to the clutch hub this may be the source of the said shavings as they can back out. the 3 screw heads cause shavings to come off the one way bearing holder as they are tiny and have tended to back out on mine too locktite back in and problem solved
