ShaftHolder?

Can anyone tell me if the shaftholder comes as an assembled unit, or can you replace the one way bearing in it?? My rotostart keeps slipping, I've taken the engine apart several times and cleaned the oil out of it, it works great for one run then slips the next time I try to start it. How do I get the bearing out it's in there tight!

If the bearing's seized on it you may have a problem, should just come off. The OWB I assume.

not sure what parker marsh said to you. But anyway, i ahd the same problem, there was a leak in the seal that goes on the backplate that the shaft comes out of. So when i tried to start it would grab a bight then stop and start to slip. I also had a one way bearing slip because it cracked. Anyway they are expensive i think and if it grabs and slips like i described you might want to take a look at that seal. And yes the one-way bearing is sold sepratly.

We got it figured out last night. It was that one exactly.

Get rid of the roto and use a drill with a clutch!
