i ran in my engine as the book said but i cant get a tune out it. it was running ok for a while up to half throttle then it was too rich. now when i start it sometimes it takes off on high revs and other times it wont start at all. most of the time it ticks over then for no reason (throttle doesnt move) it takes off high revving again. i couldnt get the right rotostart for it so i ovaled the holes in my plate i had to get it to fit. you guys think i have an air leak or somethin? even when it was runnin i couldnt get a tune. I'm pulling my hair out.

hey, if anybody has an engine goin cheap and its run in and tuned let me no, I'm sick of this! iv spent a fortune on this and iv got nothin to show for it.

I had poblems like that with my origanal savage .21 motor i ended up sending it back to hpi. they told me it was defective and replaced it. so if you have tried everything it might be defective. anyways i share your pain.

i got it from hong kong, more hassle than its worth to send it back. I'm broke now, spent all my wages etc on presents for the little one.

Seal the engine and change the bearings.

How much did u lean it out when u were trying to get it running I think its to lean (starving for fule) kinda sounds that way because of the way u say it revs like that Did u change plugs??? How old is it is it new?? i only leaned it out 1/4 turn. i ran it like that and it was ok to half throttle. i never adjusted anythin after that. next day it started playing up like this.

well i sealed the engine and it seems to run alot better!! thanx guys, that was top advice. only prob now is v stripped my steering servo. iv noticed when i move my throttle servo the throttle and brake parts don't move together, the throttle part is turning on the servo when it shouldnt be. 2 new servos comming up!!
