i have a savage x. i broke my 2nd steering servo today and decided that it is time to get something better in it. what servos do you guy run? can i run digital servos? also any in put on the lrs .28 mill?

i used to run a hitec 645mg servo in steering without any problems or failures, had it for 6 months and was still going strong.

now using hitec 5995TG servo for steering

get a steering servo with metal gears. ideally high torque aswell but metal gears is a must!!

Links to Hitec and Airtronics. Everything one would need to weight and compare.

Hitec: http://www.hitecrcd.com/homepage/product_fs.htm

Theres also Ko servos and Jr servos. All I run are Hitec digital servos. Digtal servo are better than analog servos. Cost more but worth it. Dig. centers better, quicker response better built. Try running around 180oz for your steering. They do make a 330oz torque, titanium gears. Run right at $104 at SMF great price for that servo. Look at there other ones as well.

At least there is now something to compare to. I like facts plain and simple
