I will soon install a Hitec 7955TG servo in my HPI Savage XL (steering). I know that this particular Hitec has extreme torque, but now I'm wondering if it's too much for the stock steering assembly. Personally, I believe that I will also need to upgrade the steering assembly (bell crank, servo saver, etc...).

Is anyone here using a high torque (250+ oz minimum) for steering? If so, are you running stock assembly parts, or using upgrades?

Thanks!

I am running a JR 9100T with a humppack. Also 330+oz. of torque. I pretty much locked down my servo saver all the way and backed it off a little bit. Also set your endpoints as whip said.
