I wanted to do a second lid for bashing purposes, so I don't wreck the Grave Robber lid I spent so much time on, and my stock one is getting pretty bad. I went with the new body style Silverado since I'm a chevy guy. I was going to do a solid color so it would be simple to touch up if needed, but I couldn't decide between pactra outlaw black to stay with the all black theme, or the pactra competition orange because my 1:1 chevy is hugger orange. So I went with a two-tone theme add a couple designs in there. It turned out far from perfect but since it is going to be a bashing body it doesn't really matter. Originally it was going to be two-tone with just a straight line seperating the two colors, but then I decided to add a couple designs. The triangle on top was going to be solid black at first, but I wanted more orange so I made it hollow. I debated for quite a while about whether to put it on there at all, but in the end I decided to just do it. The lines were straight when I drew them on the outside, but making them perfect with an x-acto knife was a whole 'nother story LOL! I left the bed clear also, I like being able to see everything underneath. Tinted all the rear windows black but left the fronts clear. Let me know what you guys think!

It looks real nice. I like the colors.

Can I make a suggestion? When doing pinstripes the easiest way is to buy paint mask that is cut to 1/4" or 1/2" wide. Most hobbyshops have it.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys.

NLMD- I thought about the pinstripe tape but didn't have any on hand and I did the body at night. Could have waited but you know how that goes LOL.

USMC-716- Yeah, not really a Harley fan, no offense. Hugger Orange is kind of a classic chevy thing and my 1:1 silverado is all ornage with some black things here and there. The grill and bowtie are all black except the chrome stripe across the middle and it has the black fender flares and black/chrome bumpers. I also got my sons one of each color Blitz for xmas which are black and orange, and my stock XL body is black/orange also so I thought I would stick with the theme. I might do a Pro-Line replica body of my 1:1 too just for the heck of it, they make one that looks like the '03/'04 body style. When it's not raining I'll clean it up and get a good pic of it.

Mike, i'm not into the Harley's either but it's a nice color scheme.. Now the whole family can rock the same colors!!!

LOL, I know some people here are harley fans so it was kind of meant for everyone, not necessarily directed at you. We have had some debate/trash talk in the chatbox about the harley vs sportbike issue LOL. I like GSXR's myself.
